Donations Being Accepted For Hurricane Victims

Donna Lockard (Maryland Horse Trainer) is bringing her horse trailer and truck to Laurel Park on Saturday (11/10) to collect donations for some of the victims of Hurricane Sandy. She is driving the trailer full of donations up to New Jersey on Sunday. All donations will be going to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, in Neptune, New Jersey.

The trailer will be at the track to accept donations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday only. It will be parked by the curb in front of the Grandstand entrance.

The food bank has requested the following items:

Bottled water, Toilet paper, Diapers, Batteries/flashlights, Blankets, Socks & underwear, Toothpaste/toothbrushes, Canned goods, Juice boxes, Instant coffee.

Please get the word out far and wide, let’s see how full we can get this trailer!
